Completing the Dream Scholarship Program
The Sallie Mae Fund’s Completing the Dream Scholarship Program helps under-resourced and underrepresented students and those from historically underserved communities complete their post-secondary education.
Students on-track to complete their degree or continuous education program who are facing financial challenges may apply to receive a one-time scholarship of up to* $2,500* to help complete their post-secondary education program.
Scholarship applications for AY 2023-24 are being accepted now through 6/28/24 or until all scholarship dollars have been awarded.
By 2024, we’ll award nearly 800 Completing the Dream Scholarships totaling $1.95 million, to help students from underserved communities complete their dream of higher education.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited post-secondary institution or continuous education program opens in a new window
- Will complete their degree or program by the end of Spring 2024 semester (can be either Fall 2023 or Spring 2024).
- Current cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher
- Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
- Be a diverse candidate
- Diverse shall include, but not limited to: (Gender, Disability, Race, Ethnicity, Belonging to an underserved community)
- Able to demonstrate leadership abilities.
- Demonstrate good moral character in all aspects of your life, including personal, professional, educational, in your community, and online presence
