Harriet Sheldon Athletic Award

The Harriet Sheldon Athletic Award is awarded to the outstanding woman athlete at Bakersfield College who has financial need and has exhausted her athletic eligibility for her chosen sport(s). She must be a full-time student with at least a 3.0 GPA. The successful recipient must also demonstrate a positive attitude, commitment, responsibility, and dependability. A committee comprised of the Women’s Athletic Department coaches and the Women’s Athletic Director will make the final selection. As this is an award, it will be paid out in the spring when it is announced.
