Gene Haas Scholarship
The Gene Haas Scholarship(s) will be awarded to Bakersfield College students who are currently enrolled or will be enrolling-in an Industrial Manufacturing, machining course, Manufacturing Technology COA, or who have declared “Manufacturing Technology Assoicate of Science” as their degreed pathway.
- $500 award qualification for those who have completed coursework to obtain a JSA (job skill certificate) based on completion of MFGT- B1AB machining course with a letter grade of a © or better.
- $750 award, qualifications include completion of MFGT-B2 & MFGT-B3
- $1200 award for students who have completed the necessary areas of study to obtain a Manufacturing Technology (Certification of Achievement). All courses taken in pursuant of the Manufacturing COA must be completed through attainment of a ‘C’ letter grade or better.
- $1750 may be awarded to those students who have declared "Manufacturing Technology Associate of Science as their official registered degreed pathway and have taken at least 85% of the defined courses required outside of the general education requirements. The overall GPA requirement is 2.5 or better.
