Pat Lee Memorial Award (Transfer)

The Pat Lee Memorial Award (Transfer) is awarded to transferring students at Bakersfield College majoring in: Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Geology, Mathematics, or Physics. Students must have at minimum completed CHEM B1A and CHEM B1B and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Consideration given to students who have completed or are currently enrolled in Organic Chemistry; Students who are involved in clubs, tutoring and other extracurricular activities; and, students who have an interest in pursuing a career in chemistry or chemistry related sciences and/or engineering. Two essays are required, including: Essay 1: Address need and merit for this scholarship; Essay 2: What do you intend to do with chemistry in your professional life?
