Richard L. Davis Culinary Arts Scholarship

The Richard L. Davis Culinary Arts Scholarship is awarded to returning Bakersfield College students demonstrating outstanding achievement in the Food & Nutrition program based on the collective agreement of the chef instructors. Students must have a declared major of Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or Nutrition; Have completed 6 units or more of college coursework; Presently have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; Presently be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units at Bakersfield College; Have an educational plan in place (copy of plan to be submitted with application); and write and submit an essay of 500 words in MLA format on the general topic, “My career goals in the Culinary Arts.”
