International Society of Automation Scholarship

The International Society of Automation (ISA) was founded in 1945. ISA is a non-profit organization that supports the efforts of Engineering and Technology Professionals working in Industrial Automation. The ISA-CenCal awards scholarships merited on an evaluation process. ISA-CenCal assesses the financial need indicated by the student, personal references, personal essays, academic accomplishments, involvement with local industry groups, and applicability of the funds in relationship to the local industry. ISA-CenCal pays scholarship funds directly to the student. Scholarships are awarded annually.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Applicants must be enrolled and have a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Applicants must be enrolled at Bakersfield College in a Bachelor’s level program with Industrial Automation as the focus.
• Preference will be given to students who have interned with local companies, or have applied with local companies.

TIMELINE
• Applications are due March 31st, 2020.
• Candidates may be asked for an interview by ISA-CenCal.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS MUST PROVIDE:
• Completed application form.
• Official transcript.
• Scope of Work for the project that the requested funds will be used for.
• Proof of acceptance at Bakersfield College in a BS in Industrial Automation

OPTIONAL ATTACHMENTS:
• 2 Letters of recommendation from a professor or supervisor.
